A King of a Kingdom called his Prime Minister and asked, like there are Brilliant people in his State will there be Idiots available?.

Minister said there will be.

King then ordered his Minister to go around the State search and bring 5 of such Idiots and present to him in the Council.

Minister was awestruck since you can identify brilliant people by conducting some form of competition, but how to identify Idiots.

However he goes around the State and after a month comes back with 2 such people. There after following is the conversation between King and Minister

King: Dear Minister I think you are poor in counting, I asked for 5 people and you have brought only 2.

Minister: Your Highness please let me explain and then you will know yourself

King: OK. Go ahead

Minister: When I was going around the State I found this guy carrying a huge Gunny Bag on his head and travelling in a Bullock Cart. When I asked he said that if he keeps the bag in the Cart it will be overloaded and hurt the Bull. I realised he is the 5th Idiot and brought him to you.

King: Excellent. Next

Minister: I saw the other guy was taking his Buffalo to the roof top of his house for grazing where grass was found grown. I realised he is the 4th Idiot and brought him to you.

King: Fine. Next.

Minister: When there are so many problems in the functioning of this kingdom, leaving those entire aside I have been going around the State for a month wasting my time in searching for Idiots, hence I am the 3rd Idiot.

King: Laughs out loud. Next.

Minister: Instead of solving all the problems that are there in the Kingdom, you have been looking for Idiots in your State, hence you are the 2nd Idiot.

Hearing this entire Council was scared and there was pin drop silence.

King: Fine there is truth in your statement. Who is the 1st Idiot?

Minister: Your Highness when there are so much of work in the Office and Home to attend to, leaving all this aside person who is reading this Story to know who is the 1st Idiot in “What’s App” is the 1st Idiot.

Please don’t laugh yourself pass it on since it is new to “What’s App”.

One afternoon a wealthy manager was driving in his limousine when he saw two men along the roadside eating grass. Disturbed by the sight, he ordered his driver to stop and he got out to investigate. He asked one man "Why are you eating grass?"

"We don't have any money for food," the poor man replied. "We have to eat grass." "Well, then, you can come with me to my house and I'll feed you" the manager said.

"But sir, I have a wife and five children with me. They are over there, under that tree".

"Bring them along," the manager replied. Turning to the other poor man he stated, "You come with us also."

The second man, in a pitiful voice then said, "But sir, I also have a wife and seven children with me!"

"Bring them all, as well," the manager answered.
They all entered the car, which was no easy task, even for a car as large as the limousine was.

Once underway, one of the poor fellows turned to mr. Manager and said, "Sir, you are too kind. Thank you for taking all of us with you."

The manager replied, "Glad to do it. You'll really love my place; the grass is almost 1 meter high!"

Lesson: Never trust managers... and there is nothing like KIND MANAGERS ๐Ÿ˜œ

10 Remedies for Dark Circles and Puffy Eyes eye care

One of the main reasons that we get dark circles around are eyes is genetics, but also getting older, dry skin, crying, long hours facing a computer screen, stress, lack of sleep and an unhealthy diet. Men and women from different age groups can suffer this problem, and even though it's not a health risk, no one looks to look exhausted and tired.

Luckily, there are a number of handy home remedies that'll get rid of those dark shadows with a few common ingredients found in any home.

1. Turmeric

Turmeric has both antioxidants and anti-inflammation properties and so can be used to freshen your skin and fix that tired look. Take the powder and mix it with pineapple water to create a thick mix. Smear the mix under your eyes, leave for 10 minutes and then wipe with a moist, soft cloth. Aside from removing the circles, it will soften your skin. Use daily until you see the desired effects.

2. Raw Potato

Potatoes have natural bleaching agents that can help you brighten up those circles. Take 1-2 cool potatoes and smash them until you can get the juice out. Now, dip a cotton ball in the potato juice and put on your (closed) eyes. Make sure the juice covers the black circles as well as the lids. Leave for 10-15 minutes and then rinse your eyelids well with cold water. If you don't want to use the juice, you can also just slice it like the cucumber with the same process, but the juice will be more potent.

3. Tomatoes

Yes, tomatoes too can help lighten the skin under your eyes. Take a spoon of tomato juice and mix with one spoon of lemon juice. Put the mix (using cotton balls again) gently on the eyes and leave for 10 minutes. Then, rinse with clean water. Do this twice a day to get rid of puffiness and dark skin.
tomato
4. Rose Water

A quick fix for those circles makes use of the great skin care benefits of rose water. Take cotton bandages and soak them in rose water for a few minutes. Then, place them on your closed eyelids for about 15 minutes. The rose water has a calming effect on the eyes and the skin around it. This solution can remove the dark circles completely if used twice a day for several weeks.

5. Almond Oil

Almond oil is another natural ingredient that benefits the delicate skin around our eyes. Regular use of almond oil can brighten the skin as well as nourish it. Take a little almond oil, place on the dark circles and gently massage it into the skin. Leave it overnight and wash with cold water in the morning.

Do this every day until the circles are completely gone. If you don't have almond oil, you can also use a Vitamin E enriched oil.

6. Lemon Juice

The high vitamin C content in lemon juice can serve to remove the circles. Dip a cotton ball in fresh lemon juice and apply to the skin around your eyes for 10 minutes before washing it off.

Another option is to make a thick mix by mixing one table spoon of lemon juice with 2 table spoons of tomato paste, a smidgen of humus flour and turmeric powder. Smear the mix gently around the eyes and leave on for 10-15 minutes, then wash with clean water. Repeat this 2-3 times a week and the skin will soon become much lighter.

Cold water can narrow the blood vessels underneath the eyes and help reduce puffiness and dark circles. Dip a clean, soft cloth in cold water or milk and put directly on the eyelids for several minutes.

Another option is to wrap a few ice cubes in a soft cloth and hold them under the eyes. A bag of frozen peas, of cold tea or even a cold spoon can also help. Repeat this 3-4 times a week for several weeks.

8. Apple

An apple too can provide a natural solution for removing those stubborn circles. Slice them up thickly and put under your eyes for 30 minutes before washing with cold water. Put some relaxing cream after this is done.

Another course of action is to make a mash of green, cooked apples and put under the eyes for half an hour, then wash with lukewarm water.

9. Mint

Mint has a cooling effect on the skin that naturally removes the dark skin. Take a few fresh mint leaves and mash them gently. Smear the mix on your eyes and leave for 10-15 minutes. Gently rub away with a clean cloth.

Another option is adding mint leaves to tomato juice and smear under the eyes, leaving it for several minutes and then washing with cold water.

10. Cucumber

The cucumber is an age old solution for black circles. It is good at making your skin look lighter. For a quick fix for those circles, take a fresh cucumber and slice it into thick slices. Put them in the fridge for 30 minutes, then put the slices on the area of your eye for 10 minutes and rinse with water. This solution has a calming and refreshing effect.

cucumber slices

Another option is to mix cucumber juice with lemon juice in equal amounts, and use a cotton ball to apply to the skin underneath the eyes. Leave the cotton on for about 15 minutes and then rinse with water. Do this every day for a week and the puffiness, as well as the dark areas, will shy away.

15 Self Defence Tips for a Woman Alone

Most men will never understand what it is like being a woman alone on the street. Where men walk with confidence, certain they can deal with most physical threats, a woman doesn't have that sense of confidence. Many women are scared every day, because they know that if a man decides to attack them, they won't stand a chance against his enhanced strength.
That is why women carry pepper spray and rape whistles, but even those only work part of the time, and that's if the woman had time to get to them. It's just as important to be aware of a few simple tips and techniques that can help you escape or survive your attack unmolested.

Here are 15 tips and tricks to help you out if the worst happens:

self defense

1. Show that you're aware:

Show the environment that you are aware of what's happening around you. Potential assailants prefer women that seem distracted or preoccupied. If you look assertive and aware, they might never initiate the assault.

2. Prepare your body:

If you sense danger, immediately go to a starting fighting position. Move your hands close to your chest, place your right foot a bit ahead of the left and tilt your body forward. Your body is now ready for a physical confrontation.

3. Don't let the hair get in the way:

Many attackers will choose the hair as an easy target to grab. It's better to let your hair out and tuck it into your collar.

4. Have a weapon to reach for:

An umbrella, a set of keys or a pen can make all the difference in a moment of crisis. Remember where they are and be prepared to draw them if you feel threatened.

5. Call for help:

Calling for help may not provide it but it may scare the attacker enough to allow you to escape. Many women get confused and don't know what to scream. Shouting 'fire' for instance, can be better and more attention grabbing than simply yelling 'help'.

6. Know the weak spots in the body:

If you do find yourselves in a physical confrontation, you can scratch, pull, hit or grab, as you aim directly to one of the five weak spots: Eyes, nose, neck, knees and groin!

self defense

7. Don't be scared to fight:

Many women are scared to strike back because they are scared of their assailant's anger, or are afraid to hurt themselves. The punch you give may hurt you, but the pain is minor and if it's enough to allow you to escape - it's well worth it.

8. Take and opportunity to run:

If you've identified a good time to run away from the confrontation, do it. Escaping is always better than confronting, and these opportunities will not present themselves a second time.

9. Keep your ears open:

Don't listen to music while walking through a bad neighbourhood, and don't play things on your cellphone. You should be aware of your surroundings and be able to hear your attackers coming.

10. Use things around you:

Look for stuff that might scare him away, break a window, turn on a car alarm or let some trash cans fly.

11. Remain calm:

The worst thing is to panic. This is of course a very stressful situation, but keeping your cool will do much more to save you.

How to escape various holds:

1. Chocked from the back:

Use your heel to scratch the attacker's lower leg, inflicting sharp pain he can't ignore.

2. Held from the back:

Hit your head backwards or kick your heel in the direction of the crotch.

self defense

3. Head squeeze:

Take hold of his leg to get him to lose his grip and fall.

4. Escaping a choke hold:

Bend down and lean forward. Give him a good head butt on the chin so he bites his tongue, and finish with a strong kick to the groin.

Cauliflower – A White Knight Against Cancer

You’ll want to include cauliflower as one of the cruciferous vegetables you eat on a regular basis if you want to receive the fantastic health benefits provided by the cruciferous vegetable family. At a minimum, include cruciferous vegetables as part of your diet 2-3 times per week, and make the serving size at least 1-1/2 cups.Although cauliflower’s darker-hued brother, broccoli, has gotten most of the attention for its healing potential, cauliflower is also generously endowed with cancer-preventing powers. In fact, cauliflower is one of the most powerful healing foods you can buy.Researchers have found two potent munitions in cauliflower’s cancer-fighting arsenal: the phytonutrients sulforaphane and indole-3-carbinol, or I3C. These compounds, which are found in all cruciferous vegetables, may be the reason that studies consistently show that folks who make a habit of crunching crucifers are less likely to get cancer.

In one study, scientists at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore exposed 145 laboratory animals to high doses of an extremely powerful cancer-causing agent. Of those, 120 were given high levels of protective sulforaphane. Fifty days later, 68 percent of the unprotected animals had breast tumors, compared with only 26 percent of those that received the sulforaphane.Sulforaphane works by stepping up the production of enzymes in your body that sweep toxins out the door before they can damage your body’s cells, making them cancerous.Cauliflower’s other tumor-squelching compound, I3C, works as an anti-estrogen. In other words, it reduces level of harmful estrogens that can foster tumor growth in hormone-sensitive cells, like those in the breasts and prostate gland.

That is why, although studies show that people who eat cruciferous vegetables are protected from all kinds of cancers, these foods are probably most useful for fighting cancers of the colon, breast, and prostate.

Sleep tips: 7 steps to better sleep

You're not doomed to toss and turn every night. Consider simple tips for better sleep, from setting a sleep schedule to including physical activity in your daily routine.
By Mayo Clinic Staff

Feeling crabby lately? Or simply worn out? Perhaps the solution is better sleep.
Think about all the factors that can interfere with a good night's sleep from pressure at work and family responsibilities to unexpected challenges, such as layoffs, relationship issues or illnesses. It's no wonder that quality sleep is sometimes elusive.
Although you might not be able to control all of the factors that interfere with your sleep, you can adopt habits that encourage better sleep. Start with these simple sleep tips.
1. Stick to a sleep schedule

Go to bed and get up at the same time every day, even on weekends, holidays and days off. Being consistent reinforces your body's sleep-wake cycle and helps promote better sleep at night. There's a caveat, though. If you don't fall asleep within about 15 minutes, get up and do something relaxing. Go back to bed when you're tired. If you agonize over falling asleep, you might find it even tougher to nod off.
2. Pay attention to what you eat and drink

Don't go to bed either hungry or stuffed. Your discomfort might keep you up. Also limit how much you drink before bed, to prevent disruptive middle-of-the-night trips to the toilet.
Nicotine, caffeine and alcohol deserve caution, too. The stimulating effects of nicotine and caffeine take hours to wear off and can wreak havoc on quality sleep. And even though alcohol might make you feel sleepy at first, it can disrupt sleep later in the night.
3. Create a bedtime ritual

Do the same things each night to tell your body it's time to wind down. This might include taking a warm bath or shower, reading a book, or listening to soothing music — preferably with the lights dimmed. Relaxing activities can promote better sleep by easing the transition between wakefulness and drowsiness.
Be wary of using the TV or other electronic devices as part of your bedtime ritual. Some research suggests that screen time or other media use before bedtime interferes with sleep.
4. Get comfortable

Create a room that's ideal for sleeping. Often, this means cool, dark and quiet. Consider using room-darkening shades, earplugs, a fan or other devices to create an environment that suits your needs.
Your mattress and pillow can contribute to better sleep, too. Since the features of good bedding are subjective, choose what feels most comfortable to you. If you share your bed, make sure there's enough room for two. If you have children or pets, try to set limits on how often they sleep with you — or insist on separate sleeping quarters.
5. Limit daytime naps

Long daytime naps can interfere with nighttime sleep — especially if you're struggling with insomnia or poor sleep quality at night. If you choose to nap during the day, limit yourself to about 10 to 30 minutes and make it during the midafternoon.
If you work nights, you'll need to make an exception to the rules about daytime sleeping. In this case, keep your window coverings closed so that sunlight — which adjusts your internal clock — doesn't interrupt your daytime sleep.

6. Include physical activity in your daily routine

Regular physical activity can promote better sleep, helping you to fall asleep faster and to enjoy deeper sleep. Timing is important, though. If you exercise too close to bedtime, you might be too energized to fall asleep. If this seems to be an issue for you, exercise earlier in the day.
7. Manage stress

When you have too much to do — and too much to think about — your sleep is likely to suffer. To help restore peace, consider healthy ways to manage stress. Start with the basics, such as getting organized, setting priorities and delegating tasks. Give yourself permission to take a break when you need one. Share a good laugh with an old friend. Before bed, jot down what's on your mind and then set it aside for tomorrow.
Know when to contact your doctor

Nearly everyone has an occasional sleepless night — but if you often have trouble sleeping, contact your doctor. Identifying and treating any underlying causes can help you get the better sleep you deserve.

Dengue

The alarming rise in cases of dengue across cities in the country has become an increasing cause of worry. It is now more important than ever to be aware of the risk factors, and protect yourself. Prevention in this case, is truly better than cure.

What is dengue?
Dengue is a disease caused by a family of viruses that are transmitted by mosquitoes. Dengue cannot be spread directly from person to person, i.e., is not contagious. A person can only become infected by the bite of a mosquito that is infected with the dengue virus. It is important to note that these mosquitoes bite during the daytime as well as nighttime.

Symptoms
Dengue usually begins with chills, headache, pain while moving the eyes, and backache. Persistent high fever is characteristic of dengue. Other symptoms to watch out for are exhaustion, backache, joint pains, nausea, vomiting, low blood pressure and rash.

Treatment
Because dengue is caused by a virus, there is no specific treatment for it; treatment of dengue is typically concerned only with the relief of symptoms. People who show the symptoms mentioned above should immediately consult a physician. It is important to drink plenty of fluids, stay hydrated, and get as much rest as possible.

Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF)
DHF is a more severe form of dengue and can be fatal if untreated. It tends to affect children under the age of ten, and causes abdominal pain, hemorrhage (bleeding), and circulatory collapse (shock).

Prevention
There is no vaccine to prevent dengue. Prevention of dengue requires eradication of the mosquitoes that carry this virus. This means high standards of hygiene and sanitation. Avoid areas littered with garbage. All containers of stationary water (like drums or buckets) should be covered or discarded, including flower vases and pets' feeding bowls. If your area is infested with mosquitoes, wear long sleeves, use mosquito repellants and fumigate if necessary.

13 Household Products You Should Never Mix

More accidents happen at home than anywhere else. Many of these can be avoided by just knowing what not to do. If you avoid these 13 combinations, you’ll save yourself time and money, and a trip to the hospital.

1. Different battery brands

Mixing batteries from different brands can lead to them leaking battery acid. The reason is that manufacturers use different chemical compositions for their batteries, which produce different levels of current. When one runs out of juice, the other can still keep running, but that causes it to leak, which can damage electronic devices.

2. Rubbing alcohol & bleach

Rubbing alcohol contains ethanol or isopropyl alcohol, which, when mixed with household bleach that contains sodium hypochlorite, will create chloroform and hydrochloric acid, as well as chloroacetone or dichloroacetone. These compounds can cause damage to the nervous system, lungs, kidneys, liver, eyes and skin. Also, high levels of chloroform can lead to dizziness, nausea, loss of consciousness and even death.

3. Ammonia & bleach

This combination is also very dangerous, producing vapors that can cause severe damages to your respiratory system. And that’s not the worst thing that can happen – if there are large amounts of ammonia, you might create a substance called liquid hydrazine. Liquid hydrazine is highly toxic and potentially explosive.

4. Vinegar & bleach

If you add a weak acid to bleach, it creates vapors of toxic chloramine and chlorine. These vapors can cause serious chemical burns to your eyes and lungs.

5. Vinegar & baking soda

Vinegar is an acid and baking soda is a base – those two cancel each other out, rendering the resulting solution useless.

6. Vinegar & hydrogen peroxide

Combining these two products in the same container will create the corrosive paracetic acid. In high enough concentrations, paracetic acid can irritate and even damage your skin, eyes, throat, nose and lungs.

7. Grapefruit & medicine

Compounds in the grapefruit interfere with enzymes in the stomach, which are in-charge of metabolizing certain types of medicine. This ends up increasing the level of certain chemicals in the blood and can lead to a deadly overdose.

8. Alcohol & ibuprofen

Taking ibuprofen on an empty stomach can lead to damage to the stomach-lining. Adding alcohol into the mix stimulates this process and can worsen the effect. Damage to the lining can lead to internal bleeding, ulcers and other problems.

9. Alcohol & acetaminophen

Chronic consumption of alcohol causes the body to produce certain enzymes that interact adversely with acetaminophen. The reactions can damage the liver and even be lethal. In the U.S. alone, over 200 people die every year thanks to this deadly combination.

10. Dairy & antibiotics

Dairy is rich in calcium, and while it may be good for your bones, it’s interaction with antibiotics is anything but. Calcium prevents the antibiotics from being absorbed into your body, reducing their effectiveness.

Antibiotics that are most effected by dairy are: ciprofloxacin, levofloxacin and tetracycline.

11. Milk & energy drinks

The acid in the energy drinks mixes with proteins in the milk, causing the milk to curdle very quickly. The results are usually the same – projectile vomiting…

12. Retinol & glycolic acid or alpha hydroxyl acid

Both of these skin-care products may help you look younger, but mixing them together is a bad idea. Glycolic acid has a different level of pH than retinol, so when both are used, the glycolic acid becomes dominant, reducing the effectiveness of retinol considerably. It can also cause some mild skin irritation.

13. Retinol & sunlight

Recent evidence shows that retinol can become toxic when exposed to direct sunlight, and increase your chances of getting sunburns. It is recommended that you only use it at night, or if you choose to use it during the day – use sunscreen and avoid direct sunlight as much as possible.

The Warning Signs and Symptoms of Stroke

Strokes are more common, and just as serious, as you think. It is one of the leading causes of disability and death. It is important to know the warning signs and body language that suggest someone may be experiencing a stroke.

If you didn't know already, a stroke is the rapid loss of brain function due to a disturbance in blood supply to the brain. A stroke is a serious medical emergency that can cause permanent neurological damage and even death. The risk factors for stroke include old age, high blood pressure, previous strokes, diabetes, high cholesterol and tobacco smoking. Strokes are currently the second leading cause of death worldwide.
headache
So what are the warning signs?

It is crucial to know the warning signs for strokes because the sooner they are treated and addressed, the less chance that there will be serious damage to the brain. Stroke symptoms can develop gradually, but usually the symptoms appear rather suddenly and without warning. Stroke symptoms include:

-Numbness or weakness in the face, arm, leg and especially on one side of the body

-Sudden confusion or trouble understanding other people

-Trouble speaking or a sudden slurring of words when an individual typically does not have difficulty with speech

-Trouble seeing in one or both eyes

-Trouble walking, staying balanced or coordinated. This, together with the sudden pain, are usually why some people affected by stroke will suddenly fall down

-Dizziness or light-headedness

-Severe headaches that come on for no apparent reason
back pain

There are also various kinds of strokes that you should be aware of:

Ischemic Stroke: This kind of stroke happens when a blood vessel supplying blood to the brain becomes blocked for a variety of reasons, most common being a sudden blood clot.

Hemorrhagic Stroke: This is a very serious form of stroke because it occurs when a blood vessel ruptures and bleeds into the brain.

Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA): This is considered a 'mini stroke', usually from a temporary blockage. TIA does not cause permanent damage to the brain, but it may cause some of the stroke warning signs listed above, some of which may last anywhere from minutes to hours. These are warning signs that you should not ignore.

What should you do if you or a loved one has symptoms?

-Don't ignore the warning signs: even if you have only one of the warning signs consult a doctor or hospital immediately

-Don't wait because every minute counts!

-Call emergency services if you or a loved one experiences one or more of the symptoms within a few minutes

-Check the time when the symptoms begin so that you can share this information when you arrive at the hospital.

Watch an instructional video by survivors of stroke on the importance of recognizing stroke body language and symptoms.
Remeber,  strokes can be a very serious matter, so be aware of the symptoms and body language that suggest you or someone you love are suffering a stroke, and consult a doctor if you think signs are becoming persistent.

Why Are Some of Us Cold?

We all get cold from time to time. But some of us get cold more often than others, especially at our toes and hands. Why do some people feel colder than others? What causes us to feel cold?

Here are a few explanations of why you might be feeling cold where the next person doesn't.

Hypothyroidism
The thyroid gland supervises the body's metabolism with the help of two hormones: Thyroxin (T4) and Triudotironin (T3) which it makes out of iodine. A malfunction in the thyroid gland can lead to a lower amount of activity (Hypothyroidism) or too much activity (hyperthyroidism).

In Hypothyroidism, the metabolism is slowed down, which manifests as sensitivity to cold, feeling tired, gaining weight, slower heartbeat and blood pressure, loss of hair, muscle contraction, skin dryness, fragile fingernails and a decrease in libido.

"Standard blood tests usually miss about 50% of Hypothyroidism cases," explains Dr. Jacob Teitlbaum, author of the book 'From Fatigued to Fantastic'. "If the test comes back without finding a problem," says Dr. Teitlbaum, "but you still see a problem, you may want to consult with a more holistic doctor."

A Shortage in Iron
Iron is needed for the transfer of oxygen by our blood to the cells of the body, to be harvested into energy. Low levels of iron can explain why you are feeling cold. "If you don't have enough energy due to a shortage in iron, your inner thermostat might get damaged and that is why you are cold." Says Dr. Teitlbaum.

Ask your doctor to take a blood test to check the ability of the blood to retain iron. The norm measurements for men should be 12-300 nanograms per ml. For women, it is 7-140 nanograms per ml. And for children - 7-140 nanograms per ml.

A low count in this test points to a shortage in iron, which may quickly lead to anemia. You can increase your iron intake by eating red meat, liver or oysters, and of course you can always take supplements. A doctor visit is advised.

Lack of Sleep
When the body doesn't get enough rest, the nervous system, which helps regulate the temperature of the body, is undermined, which may express itself as dropping body temperatures. In past decades, more people used to get 8 hours of sleep a night. But in the era of internet, mobile phones and televisions, that period of sleep is significantly shortening and with it the quality of sleep. Allow yourselves to make up for essential sleeping time to return the balance to your nervous system.

Raynaud's Syndrome
If you find that your hands hurt or tingle whenever you're outside, you may be suffering from Raynaud's Syndrome. "This happens when small blood vessels that are supplying blood to the skin, shrink and restrict the flow of blood to our extremities." Says Dr. Teitlbaum.

This syndrome is manifested by the appearance of paleness in the ends of our fingers or toes, and in many cases it is a result of prolonged exposure to cold, accompanied by mental pressure. This can also happen from over-smoking or using medicine that shrinks your blood vessels. "To know if you suffer from this, put your fingers in the freezer and see if they turn white."  Taking magnesium can help take care of symptoms, as well as quitting smoking, putting on gloves and socks and addressing cases of chronic pressure.

Candida
Candida is a fungus of yeast found naturally in the colon that is controlled by the immune system. Only sometimes it gets out of hand, which increases the pressure on the activities of the hypothalamus, a brain area responsible, among other things, for regulating and monitoring body temperature. Usually, the candida gets out of control in people who have taken too many antibiotics, which harms good bacteria in the intestines and can be expressed by prolonged headaches, tiredness and a sensitivity to cold.

"To rid yourselves of the candida," says Dr.Teitlbaum, "It's recommended to take probiotics and to limit the intake of sugar and yeast, so as not to feed the fungus."

Stress
One of the main characteristics of our society today is stress. While worries are an inseparable part of our daily lives, ongoing stress can put stress on the hypothalamus and cause problems with its functioning. Even a low stress that doesn't go away can accumulate and weaken the bodily functions that are dependent on the hypothalamus, such as the thyroid gland or the internal temperature control of our bodies.

It isn't easy to fight stress, among the best solutions are Meditation, focusing on positive aspects of life, finding time to rest and eliminating the causes of stress in our lives.

There is such a thing as too thin
Animals that live in very cold places, such as seals, penguins and whales, have a very thick layer of fat to insulate them from the outside temperature. A person who is too low on fat, automatically becomes sensitive to cold. Make sure your BMI (Body Mass Index) isn't lower than 18.5 (the lowest normal measure).

Different Parts of Our Body Age At Different Times

We all accept that getting older is inevitable. A leading clinicians have revealed the exact age when different body parts start to decline, most alarming being the brain and lungs.

French doctors have found that the quality of men's sperm starts to deteriorate by 35, so that by the time a man is 45 a third of pregnancies end in miscarriage. Here, with the help of leading clinicians, Angela Epstein tells the Daily Mail the ages when different parts of the body start to lose their battle with time.

BRAIN - Starts aging at 20
As we get older, the number of nerve cells - or neurons - in the brain decrease. We start with around 100 billion, but in our 20s this number starts to decline. By 40, we could be losing up to 10,000 per day, affecting memory, co-ordination and brain function.

GUT - Starts aging at 55.
A healthy gut has a good balance between harmful and 'friendly' bacteria. But levels of friendly bacteria in the gut drop significantly after 55, particularly in the large intestine, says Tom MacDonald, professor of immunology at Barts And The London medical school. As a result, we suffer from poor digestion and an increased risk of gut disease. Constipation is more likely as we age, as the flow of digestive juices from the stomach, liver, pancreas and small intestine slows down.

BREASTS - Start aging at 35
BY their mid-30s, woman's breasts start losing tissue and fat, reducing size and fullness. Sagging starts properly at 40 and the aureole (the area surrounding the nipple) can shrink considerably.

BLADDER - Starts aging at 65
Loss of bladder control is more likely when you hit 65. Women are more vulnerable to bladder problems as, after the menopause, declining estrogen levels make tissues in the urethra - the tube through which urine passes - thinner and weaker, reducing bladder support. Bladder capacity in an older adult generally is about half that of a younger person - about two cups in a 30-year-old and one cup in a 70-year-old. ...

LUNGS - Start aging at 20
Lung capacity slowly starts to decrease from the age of 20. By the age of 40, some people are already experiencing breathlessness. This is partly because the muscles and the rib cage which control breathing stiffen up.

VOICE - Starts aging at 65
Our voices become quieter and hoarser with age. The soft tissues in the voice box (larynx) weaken, affecting the pitch, loudness and quality of the voice. A woman's voice may become huskier and lower in pitch, whereas a man's might become thinner and higher.

EYES - Start aging at 40
Glasses are the norm for many over-40s as failing eyesight kicks in - usually long-sightedness, affecting our ability to see objects up close.

HEART - Starts aging at 40
The heart pumps blood less effectively around the body as we get older. This is because blood vessels become less elastic, while arteries can harden or become blocked because of fatty deposits forming on the coronary arteries - caused by eating too much saturated fat. The blood supply to the heart is then reduced, resulting in painful angina. Men over 45 and women over 55 are at greater risk of a heart attack.

LIVER - Starts aging at 70
This is the only organ in the body which seems to defy the aging process.

KIDNEYS - Starts aging at 50
With kidneys, the number of filtering units (nephrons) that remove waste from the bloodstream starts to reduce in middle age.

PROSTATE - Starts aging at 50
The prostate often becomes enlarged with age, leading to problems such as increased need to urinate, says Professor Roger Kirby, director of the Prostate Centre in London . This is known as benign prostatic hyperplasia and affects half of men over 50, but rarely those under 40. It occurs when the prostate absorbs large amounts of the male sex hormone testosterone, which increases the growth of cells in the prostate. A normal prostate is the size of a walnut, but the condition can increase this to the size of a tangerine.

BONES - Start aging at 35
'Throughout our life, old bone is broken down by cells called osteoclasts and replaced by bone-building cells called osteoblasts - a process called bone turnover,' explains Robert Moots, professor of rheumatology at Aintree University Hospital in Liverpool . Children's bone growth is rapid - the skeleton takes just two years to renew itself completely. In adults, this can take ten years. Until our mid-20s, bone density is still increasing. But at 35 bone loss begins as part of the natural aging process.

TEETH - Start aging at 40
As we age, we produce less saliva, which washes away bacteria, so teeth and gums are more vulnerable to decay. Receding gums - when tissue is lost from gums around the teeth - is common in adults over 40.

MUSCLES - Start aging at 30
Muscle is constantly being built up and broken down, a process which is well balanced in young adults. However, by the time we're 30, breakdown is greater than buildup, explains Professor Robert Moots. Once adults reach 40, they start to lose between 0.5 and 2 per cent of their muscle each year. Regular exercise can help prevent  this.

HEARING - Starts aging mid-50s
More than half of people over 60 lose hearing because of their age, according to the Royal National Institute for the Deaf.

SKIN - Starts aging mid-20s
The skin starts to age naturally in your mid-20s.

TASTE AND SMELL - Start aging at 60
We start out in life with about 10,000 taste buds scattered on the tongue. This number can halve later in life. After we turn 60, taste and smell gradually decline, partly as a result of the normal ageing process.

FERTILITY - Starts aging at 35
Female fertility begins to decline after 35, as the number and quality of eggs in the ovaries start to fall. The lining of the womb may become thinner, making it less likely for a fertilized egg to take, and also creating an environment hostile to sperm.

HAIR - Starts aging at 30
Male hair loss usually begins in the 30s. Hair is made in tiny pouches just under the skin's surface, known as follices. A hair normally grows from each follicle for about three years, is then shed, and a new hair grows.  Most people will have some grey hair by the age of 35. When we are young, our hair is coloured by the pigments produced by cells in the hair follicle known as melanocytes.

10 Indian Women Freedom Fighters

We Salute

There is something about those moments during the flag hoisting which makes our heart bloom with pride and patriotism, isn't it? And as India celebrated its 63rd Republic Day, let's take a moment to remember all the brave Indian women  who made our country proud.

Rani of Jhansi: You will hardly find an Indian who hasn't grown up hearing the brave adventures of Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi. She was one of the leading personalities in the National Uprising of 1857. Because of her never-say-die spirit, today she is an epitome of courage and her name is used as a metaphor for bravery!

Sarojoni Naidu: Sarojini Naidu has been a beacon of inspiration to many women. At a time when women were oppressed to a large extent in many states, she was one of the first few women who stepped out and took the reins of leadership in her own hands. As the first woman President of Indian National Congress and Governor of Uttar Pradesh, she displayed some rare qualities. Her poems continue to inspire us.

Begum Hazrat Mahal: She was one of the iconic freedom fighters of the National Uprising in 1857. When the mutiny began, she was one of the first freedom fighter who urged the rural folk to rise up against the British oppression. She thus seized the control of Lucknow and announced her son as the King of Oudh. However, when the British recaptured Lucknow, she was forced to retreat to Nepal.

Vijaylakshmi Pandit: Like her brother Jawaharlal Nehru, she too felt passionately for her country. After serving our nation for years, she became the first woman President of the United Nations General Assembly. A writer, a diplomat, and a politician, her works are an inspiration to many young women.

Kittur Rani Chennamma: Even though you may hardly be familiar with her name, she was one of the earliest Indian rulers who fought for freedom. 33 years before the National Uprising, this queen of a princely state in Karnataka led an armed rebellion against the British, and lost her life in the end. Even today, she is revered as one of the bravest women in Karnataka.

Bhikaiji Cama: Bhikaji Cama is undoubtedly one of the bravest women in the history of Indian Freedom Struggle. She was one of the pioneers in setting up the Indian Home Rule Society. When in exile, she wrote several revolutionary literatures from the freedom movement. She even made radical speeches for gender equality in Egypt.

Sucheta Kriplani: With the dedication and passion that she exuded for her country during the struggle, she was elected as the first woman Chief Minister of any Indian state. She stepped up for her country with the Quit India Movement and she was one of Gandhiji's close associates in several Partition riots. She was a role model and encouraged many women to join the struggle.

Aruna Asaf Ali: She was an active member of the Congress Party who not just fought for our country's freedom, but also for the rights of political prisoners in Tihar Jail. She launched a hunger strike for the latter and her efforts resulted in improved conditions but she was subjected to solitary confinement. She displayed great courage by standing up to the oppressive rule as well as her family who were against the idea of her marrying a Muslim (she was originally a Brahmo).

Savitribhai Phule: "If you educate a boy, you educate an individual but if you educate a girl, you educate the whole family," was the words in which she firmly believed in. Tired of seeing women being oppressed and being denied the rights of education, Savitribai Phule took it upon herself to provide girl education. Even though she had to bear the insults and abuse which were thrust upon her by the higher class, she continued to provide basic education to girls and women.

Usha Mehta: She was one of the youngest freedom fighters of the Indian freedom movement. She was hardly five years old when she met Gandhi and was inspired by his ideals. At the age of 8, she participated in the `Simon Go Back' protest. Even though her father who was a judge under the British Raj tried his best to dissuade her from participating in the freedom struggle, she made sure to be a part of it in small yet significant ways. After quitting her studies to be a part of the Quit India Movement, she dedicated herself completely to the struggle.
