Tips from a Child counsellor
Dear parents give your finger to support your child and not your entire hand to hold such that in their whole life time they are not able to survive without you.
If you want to make your child independent and confident in future follow these steps from now only.
1 . Don't feed the child let him eat by himself. Iet them start to develop a sense of hunger.
2. Let them wear their clothes by their own, you can help a little. Let them pack their garden bag.
3. Let them decide which colour things they want. This help them to develop decision making power in them.
4. Let them pack their school bag. If they forget anything let them face the situation, so that from a very young age they become very particular.
5 . In school if the child does not complete their books please don't call other parents, but tell the child to copy from friends book the next day. This creates a realisation in the child how it feels if they don't complete books. It makes them responsible.
6 . Never ever sit with the child when they are doing homework, otherwise even in higher standards the child will need your help. They will never develop confidence.
7 . When ever you make a monthly budget involve your child. Discuss what is your income, how much you need to save? Why you need to save this? Develop a planning sense and awareness in the child from a very young age this will help them avoid unnecessary expense in the future.
8. Let them make their own decisions within some boundaries. It develops freedom.
